1. Inspiration
We begin with a mood and a story for the room, not just a colour scheme. For this project, the starting point was warmth — earthy tones inspired by a piece of equestrian art the client already loved.
2. Paint & Flooring
Herringbone oak flooring paired with Little Green's Slaked Lime on the walls and ceiling, with the bookshelves picked out in Lamb Black for contrast.
3. Lighting Plan
LED strip lighting integrated into the joinery shelving, paired with carefully positioned downlights, so the room glows rather than reads flat.
4. Joinery
Bespoke MDF bookshelves either side of the fireplace, divided into five equal sections, designed to frame the room rather than just fill it.
5. The Concept Brought Together
Every decision — colour, texture, furniture, light — considered as one complete design before a single piece is installed.
6. Furniture & Decor
Furniture and finishes chosen to carry the palette through — mustard velvet, boucle, cane and brass — layered for texture rather than pattern.
