Interior Designer in Kensington
Mond Design Interiors is a boutique interior design studio based in SW London, working with homeowners across Kensington who want their homes to feel considered, personal and quietly luxurious.
Every project is led personally by Karina, the studio's founder. As a boutique studio, there's one point of contact from the first conversation to the final styling — no account managers, no junior designers, no handoffs partway through.
Designing Around Kensington's Architecture
Kensington has some of London's most distinctive residential architecture — grand stucco facades, soaring ceilings, tall sash windows and ornate period details that give each property its own character.
These are homes that deserve to be treated with care and imagination. We specialise in interiors that honour the proportions and character of period apartments and townhouses, layering in texture, colour and beautifully sourced furniture to create spaces that feel both elegant and genuinely liveable.
A Parisian Sensibility, a London Address
We are drawn to the kind of interiors that feel timeless rather than trendy — where every piece has been chosen with intention, where materials are rich but never excessive, and where a room feels complete without feeling overdone.
If you have a Kensington apartment with high ceilings and beautiful bones, we'd love to work with you.

How We Work
Free 15-minute call — we talk through your project, your home, your priorities and your budget.
On-site consultation — a visit to assess the property in person and start shaping the brief.
Design development — mood boards, layouts, and material and furniture selections tailored to your space.
Sourcing and procurement — we hold trade accounts with a wide range of suppliers, so you benefit from trade pricing without managing multiple suppliers yourself.
Delivery — from final styling through to handover, we see every project through to completion.
Kensington Homes We Love to Work With
Kensington's residential streets - W8, W11 and SW7 - are full of properties with genuine architectural character — and each one presents a different design opportunity.
Period apartments and mansion flats — high ceilings, original cornicing, generous proportions. These spaces respond beautifully to layered, considered interiors with rich materials and carefully chosen furniture.
Stucco townhouses — grand exteriors that call for equally considered interiors. We love working with the original features while introducing a more contemporary, liveable feel.
Contemporary conversions — where the architecture is clean and modern but the space needs warmth, personality and a sense of home.
Inside a Kensington Project: From Sketch to Design
This Kensington project began with a series of hand-drawn sketches, created to explore the mood, atmosphere and overall direction of each room before the finer details were decided. Rather than presenting a polished, finished image at the outset, sketching allows us to keep the design fluid. We can experiment with colour, texture, furniture, finishes and layout, gradually refining the ideas as the project develops. For us, the sketch isn't about showing exactly what the finished room will look like. It's about capturing the feeling of the space and creating a visual direction that we can build on together — adding, editing and refining each element until the design feels right.
